MCN supported a top US network security company and leader in next generation firewalls with an ambitious international expansion plan, which included the establishment of new offices in over 30 countries across Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific.
With no in-house expertise or prior knowledge of the employment conditions in those countries, the company's senior management needed a high level briefing on the relevant facts, so that they could be prepared for the hiring and on-boarding process.
MCN prepared a library of detailed but concise overviews of each country, encompassing key employment conditions, such as working hours, vacation and sick leave, and termination of employment matters, as well as employee benefits covering both social security and supplemental insurances.
Working with MCN removed the need for the client to commission in-country advisors for each location - which could have required a panel of up to 60 individual suppliers. Future projects will include the preparation of an employment costs report covering five European countries, which will inform a key strategic decision regarding the location of a customer support centre.
